Hi Alex, have you managed to smoke any that I sent you before Christmas yet?

I’ve not yet Simon, I’m an outdoor smoker so I’ve only had a handful since you sent them. With the sun shining at the moment though hopefully I’ll get the chance to smoke a few soon. I’ll likely try the RyJ when time next permits, I have a box aging and it will be interesting to see what they can develop into.

Last week?s additions, I swear I?m slowing down soon but every time I think I?m done something I really want shows up.

A box of HDM Epicure Especial. A few have damaged feet which is a shame because the wrappers are pretty nice otherwise, great aroma too.

I think that you might be right with the Capitolio or something similar in size probably. They certainly seem to have high hopes for the Capitolio, 15k boxes, rolled at the Partagas factory. On top of that the 50 and the 54 are extremely popular in the US and American cigar smokers like big RG cigars so the Capitolio might be a test of some sort for HSA. On top of that the QdO marca is copyright protected (I think) and there are no "fake" NC brands with that name as is the case with a lot of CC marcas. My guess is that HSA will try to build QdO up to a flagship marca over the next decade or so and that there will be a few new releases during that time period.

I think you might be right, QdO seem to be getting Cohiba quality wrapper leaf at the moment at a very affordable price point.
