  • Wow now that?s a collection! I only started out with 5-10 but I?m nearing the 40 mark and my humidor is just about seasoned so ready to be used.

inquite like laying out all my sticks from time to time to properly admire them and take a look at each one

          • Lovely, great choice on the Lusitanias. All you need now is to give them 20 years rest to make them mind blowing .

After recently falling in love with the Connie A I’ve been meaning to try the 1’s.

Haha, I’ll be letting them sleep for a few years, but no where near that long! I have a 10 box on the way too, to tell me smoke those whilst these stew!

To be fair I think Lusis are golden from about 2 years old, although my lonely 10 box and I are getting jealous you are picking up so many. On the plus side I smoke DCs and Churchills so infrequently some of mine may reach that age .

                How was the CORO?

Well now the weather is warming up i am reaching for the larger, longer smokes more and more!

Im really not a Cohiba fan, but it smoked lovely for one so very, very young (2017) no bitterness, and lots of coffee and cream. Surprised me! How was your aged one?!

Well I’m only a little over half way through but it’s pretty good. I was reading the other day about someone’s view that something is missing from Cohiba’s blend, a little punch, a little character and that’s it’s all too clean and perfect... to be honest I’m tempted to agree smoking this.

Technically there’s nothing at all wrong with it, the construction and burn is perfect, the draw is how I like it but so far the dominance of sweet, creamy honey is getting almost sickly.

Maybe the class is just a bit lost on a pleb like me

Well all those flavours sound scrumptious, but I’d agree that I’d want some spice or unsweetened notes to balance things out a bit more. I have smoked a few of the HdM Elegantes and they’re also very sweet - sugar and cream, and I felt myself longing for some spice. I’m hoping age will develop them more...

you never know, the last third may kick you right in the teeth! Haha

They are lovely flavours I feel bad for complaining. If this was a PLPC I’d be over the moon, it might just be being Cohiba I expect too much.

This last third is definitely better than the first third too.

I’m yet to smoke the HdM Elegantes, so many cigars yet to try I can feel my bank card getting nervous.
