Funny enough, I bought and smoked a Topes in Cuba on my 14th. day there I believe. The first thing I did when starting my cigar spree after returning home, was to scour Europe for 7 boxes of Topes - DAMN that cigar is good.
You are right about this. I only purchased a box when they were released, thinking to myself that they were too pricey. I wasn't buying as much back then. I have sold a few singles because I scored another box last month. So, yes, I completely agree with your motto!

One of my biggest cigar regrets from recent years was not going deep on Mag56 or Topes..... What a dildo!
I saw lots of Topes in Lisbon a couple of summers ago but thought to myself they were too expensive and to wait until I went to Spain a few weeks later.... Not a sniff in Madrid...arggh!
My motto these days: "The only cigars you regret are the ones you didn't buy".
