I have to add the Nat Sherman Metropolitan. They stock them in my local. A sweet creamy texture throughout, with subtle hints of nuts and spice. Will have to get more!

This is a great list that I agree with. The Padron 64 Maduros are a very nice cigar, spicy, sweet. Besides the Work of Art, the AF Short Story is a fine little cigar.Originally posted by Pandyboy View PostOut of all the NC's I have smoked only a few are ones I would go back to. AF Work of Art Maduro, this was a beautiful smoke from begining to end. Padron Aniversary (can't remember which one) was very good. Tat Anarchy, very good almost cuban like. Best budget NC smoke I have had was the CAO La Traviata, for what they cost they are great!

Ohh Brazilians arnt that bad the wax dosnt hurt that much just take it like a man.....oh wait are we still talking about cigars my mistake.Originally posted by Bad-Yeti View PostNever tried CAO, always stayed away from them for some reason, probably just a "I don't like Brazil Thing" strange!
Jokes aside as everyone below has said CAO do some nice smokes as bfg said the CAO gold is a great smoke along with the MX2 though you have to like maduros for that one and its hard to get hold off outside the USA

Only relatively few of the CAO cigars (and there are a few hundred) have Brazilian wrappers. Those are usually the very dark Maduros. The Brazilia Gol! is one of the best of those, but not on an empty stomach.Originally posted by Bad-Yeti View PostNever tried CAO, always stayed away from them for some reason, probably just a "I don't like Brazil Thing" strange!
The La Traviata is a very different animal. Made in Nicaragua, with a filler of Dominican & Nicaraguan, a Cameroon binder, and a wrapper from Ecuador. Try one. You will be pleasantly surprised.

I honestly thought I had typed Padron in there.......so yes, very much so near the top of the list.....PadronOriginally posted by tippexx View PostScratch Oliva, OK some of them. Padron on the other hand, and most AF and anything Garcia & Garcia are more than pretty damn good, they're mighty damn good. At lot of the Boutique brands are excellent too. SOSA for one.
Tats I must admit have not really done a lot for me, and the Gurkha's I've tried have been little better than compost.
Oh yes, as i've mentioned before, I do love the Oliva V seriesbut if you're out and about you may see Nica libre potencias for sale at around 2/3rd the cost, they are the same cigar with a different band on...how about those onions
Yes also to the La Aroma de Cuba New Blend, got a box last trip and they are very nice indeed.Last edited by Bad-Yeti; 19-01-2012, 03:05 PM.

That is one heck of a sweeeping statement.Originally posted by Reaver2145 View Postdose anyone els find that NCs have quite a faint or a complete lack of aroma to them.
Its like i smell a bolie or a partagas and you can smell it but i goto something like a oliva and there's almost nothing.
But my answer is certainly the opposite to your suggestion.

I have been trying out quite a lot of NCs recently.
Those that stick in my mind as "definitely want more" are...
Arturo Fuente A?ejo Reserva No.77 Sand Shark
(no pic)
God of Fire Don Carlos Robusto

La Aroma de Cuba New Blend Churchill

La Aroma de Cuba New Blend Robusto

Arturo Fuente Hemingway Short Story (That's a GREAT short smoke)

CAO La Traviata Intrepido

Any of those would suit people who have a taste for Cuban cigars.

I might have to scratch my liking of the oliva g after last nights performance it decided to tunnel right down the middle and even after a heavy dinner it made me feel giddy and gave me the mcsweats.
And to top that off even the ciggie smokers told me this morning they didnt like the smell.
