This is why I worry about the easing of the embargo. I'm almost positive that companys like General Cigar will try and buy up most of the Cuban fields and we'll end up smoking inferior cigars so that the companys can make bigger profits.

The curse of the American multinational......
As an American, I'd have to agree. Too many implications if this embargo does get taken down, and to add:

    1. Demand will skyrocket, expect prices to go up at least 2x
    2. Quality will diminish

I'd rather they be illegal so I can purchase them from places like CoH for the cheap and avoid paying dumb sin taxes.

      Amen to that Mr.B

At the end of the day it is opinion. I was just looking up some reviews for some non-cubans I had awhile back 90% of the people said they were shit, but I loved em and cant wait to get them again.
Thats what makes us all differant. But we are all BOTL and we respect each others Opinion

Exactly! I think I stated on another mail that I was pleasantly surprised by Rocky's Vintage 1990 Robustos and the La Gloria Wavell when I was in California recently.

I don't dislike all US cigars, I just think that the 'big' names are on a mission that wouldn't be tolerated by the courts if the country in question wasn't Cuba.

As you say, just my opinion.....

I could be wrong but I for 1 believe that The big names from the U S already have their paper work approved by land holders in Cuba. All the other mega corps do so whyy would we think the cigar corps don't. I've been called crazy before but,
I don't think Im nuts on this 1.

Jeez, I hope not. Better stock up within the next few years or we could be on the downward spiral.....
