  • Sam (the Nub) Leccia is back in the cigar business

I met Sam at the launch of the Nub at JJ Fox and he is an all round nice guy. After a 2 year break for legal reasons he is back in business and deserves to succeed. Like Pete Johnson at Tatuaje he is 'one of the good guys'

The Nub (format) may not be quite my cup of tea, but always good when the really passionate cigar guys are plying their trade - can only be a good thing for the cigar community. Thanks for sharing the news Nic.

Met him and got a hand rolled nub off him, was a nice bloke to talk too. Will be keeping an eye on developments! He did pop on here a couple of times if I remember rightly...

Just been thinking... Was he not the same chap who was behind the 'Cain' cigars? I remember the launch event held at Dunhill. Seem to recall the one I tried on the night was a damn good cigar - still have the other in my humidor.

Have to admit that I did my typical trick... Glimpsed at the title, looked at the picture, and read the final paragraph. A habit I need to kick - not everything has a nice neat conclusion which sums everything up.

A very decent cigar the Cain, and a very decent guy, who's faced quite some corporate adversity. I remember he made a bespoke, and personalised, cigar for one of our former members Lee Nub. I think it had his name on it!

Sam always was an innovator, remember the union jack cigar he made for the dear departed Lee Nub? Well cop for this (as they say)

That must be one of the coolest things to get, a personalised cigar.
I don't know if I could bring myself to smoke it, but it would be rude not to.
