Well.....it took a fair bit of doing to find anything hand rolled that had been made in Ecuador. Smoking generally (either cigs or cigars) didn't seem to very big over there, hardly saw any of the locals doing it. Only found shops selling cigars in some of the bigger towns and then they were mostly really poor Cuban fakes! One guy even pulled a box of florescent orange Esplendidos (no stickers - at all!) from the beer fridge!! Politely passed on that one.

If you're going - take your own supply. And your own gas if you have a torch lighter. That's also impossible to find!

First one I bought at one of the lodges we stayed, the owner was selling them. Don't have any more info on this one, the statue on the band is the monument on the Equator if anyone can shed any light on the brand.

Good construction, draw and burn. Medium flavour profile, reminded me of RyJ No.2. View was alright as well.

Managed to bag these on the last night. Tried one of the robusto's straight out of the box. Construction, draw and burn were all fine, flavour was fairly 'meh' and one dimensional. Cadic is the brand stamped on the back of the box, can't find anything else about them though!

Not quite on topic but I also picked this Columbian up for a bargain basement 50 cents. I was slightly dreading the prospect of lighting it at that price! Roughly petit corona size (42rg ish and 5"). Construction was dog rough but the draw and burn were good and the flavour, whilst one dimensional was surprisingly smooth.

I didn't even know there were any brands from there, so I learned something new today. Be sure to sample some and let us know.
