• Caoba Cigars - any experience?

    Hi all

As some of you probably know I got married on Saturday. One thing that was left as a gift for me (anonymously) was a box of 2 Dominican cigars from a company called Caoba and I'm struggling to find out much about them. Does anyone have any experience?

Here's a couple of photos, the first one is the entire contents of my humidor simply for a size reference and the others are close ups of the bands. One simply reads Caoba Oro and the other says Caoba Diamante Reserva Especial

They appear to be made in a shop in Santa Domingo the capital of the Dominican Republic. If its the same one I visited last year then the one I smoked there was actually very good.

Thanks Peejay, was wondering if any forum users had ever had any of these. I'll report back when I smoke one

Hope the wedding went well! Did you have time to for a smoke in the end?

Yes thanks Horsebox it went really well. Managed to get time to enjoy a Punch Coronation and a Montecristo no. 4

Long day but thoroughly enjoyed it. Plenty of real ale and cigars!
