I went to a shop in san jose, havana something.. it's a manky lounge that's located in a brothel / rooms by hour place. Some local cigars but rest is Cubans at 40 usd each . I bought 2 locals for about 10 usd each. Will leave them sit for a while before trying.
Google suggests a store for don bedio cigars on Ave 2 in the centre. It doesn't exist. The store is waaay out of town.
Apart from that nothing interesting.
Oh if in Costa Rica I suggest don't fly with a local airline called nature air. 2 crashes in last month both fatal. We flew then they crashed next day.. same crew !!!

Update.. tried a local brand.. it was rank. Didn't bother after 10 mins and threw it. I found 1 and meant to be the only decent cigar shop in panama city... awful! all cigars covered in mold. walked in walked out.
In Costa Rica now so will see what's on offer here .

I can't recommend any but I've only smoked one that I know of and that was called a Colon. It tasted like it sounds even though that's the Spanish for Columbus

Panamanian cigars?
