  • Box Code ??

Normally smoke cubans, but have bought a box of Nicaraguan Chinchalero Torpedito as I really enjoyed one I smoked the other month. Cant seem to find a box code and was wondering if they were a thing on non cubans ??

So ageing isn't required then ?

Apparently not, NC's should be ready to smoke ROTT however they will still change with age mainly mellowing and balancing flavours.

Write the date of purchase on the box if you don't know the date of manufacture.

I think the only time I've seen a date code of sorts on a box of NCs was a box of Padron 7000 I bought years ago and there was a small paper slip inside with the rolling date and roller.

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen date codes on Bespoke/Casdagli cigars, but they’re the only ones I’ve come across so far.

On the subject of ageing, even though they are ready to smoke now, there are examples of some brands/marques improving with time on them

Some tatuaje are coded, I know the Pudgy and Skinny Monster sampler dress box series are.

I wish they'd all add box codes. While NCs usually don't let you do the tough work of aging cigars yourself, some of them do still improve with time, but generally speaking, you usually don't find boxes that are in a sick phase or unsmokable.

There's a code on Opus X boxes if you can work it out.
