Southern Draw make some good smokes, Crowned heads a definite for the list and I don’t think you can go wrong with the Oliva Serie V Melanio series. Fuente and Padron on the premium end, Padron more marmite than Fuente I think (incidentally I really like the 1926 and 1964 lines). Diamond crown worth a look as well. Shout if you need procurement advice…

Picked up a few NCs this morning. All for €32. Can't really go wrong at that price

Yes, light, creamy, with no pepper or dark flavours of many NCs, esp Maduros.

              I'd smoke the Perdomo

Random picks? You might get lucky and find gojira's favourite with the wild boar head on the band.

Aye Banos.... Just random stuff. I've absolutely no idea what I've bought

Hahaha. I forgot about that one. One of the tastiest cigars that I've smoked....

Big vf fan, was one of my first cigars and I sat outside Jerry's in bruge with a can of jupiler larger and smoked it till I couldn't hold it anymore.. Having said that I can't say iv had a bad Dominican cigar.. Don Diego is another cracker, the perla is a superb short smoke imo

Villa zamorano robusto.. These things are about 2.80 and I have to say on a balmy Thursday night, after a long chewy day, kids just put to bed.

This things going down a treat, good draw, it's tasty, not harsh, well packed, excellent burn.. I'm trying to fault it.. Maybe I was just ready for a smoke 😂

Some great recommendations coming through in these posts and great advice to NC newcomers in avoiding russian roulette with unfamiliar marques and cigars. But if you don’t mind living a little more dangerously - a great and relatively inexpensive method is to seek out online retailers cigar samplers. This can be a great method of experiencing a range of different NC cigars. Some even offer samplers with tasting notes if you can seek them out and is a good way to become accustomed to the wide range on offer and you more often than not will hit on cigars that definitely appeal to tastes in your flavour wheel

+1 for this, I do think Davidoffs are great.

Alec Bradley seems pretty good too

Oliva is also a decent range

The new world cigars sales are apparently getting very close to the cuban sales. Whether that is price related, preference related or both I am unsure but the sale of new world cigars is definitely on the rise. For anyone hesitant on trying them I'd say give a few of them a go!

Arturo fuente are excellent. Some of the AF vitolas are on a par with cubans in my view

Has anyone tried an Escobar cigar of any vitola? They seem to do both natural and maduro tastes.

I am still clinging to my youth (when I was a bit of a hip-hop fan) and just seen it is co-owned by the rapper Nas.
