The guy behind the excellent Pichardo series created a blend named after himself last year. It came only in a lancero format last year and was a huge success.

So now they released 3 more formats. I am trying the Toro and it's mind-blowing from the first draw. A deep sweetness with some spice, dark wood and a hint of dried fruit.

Give these a try, I guarantee you, you will love them.

The lancero is available at cigarworld for 15€. The Toro is 12,50. Cigarworld only has the lancero so far, the other formats are available at Dalay. Happy to hold a box for someone until you got a cigar mule coming to Germany. Not sure about availability in other countries.

I had a Pichardo Maduro and a Fiat Lux recently, both good but not too special, I have another Pichardo so will see how that goes but Maduros are increasingly not my thing.

The Fiat Lux is not a Maduro though. And it's very different to this one. Fiat Lux is very good, a very complex cigar, but hard to wrap your head around.

The Pichardo Maduro can be a bit hit and miss. The draw is a bit light and I noticed that it tastes much better the slower you smoke it.

The Luciano the dreamer is a lot more full bodied and saturated. No pepper, but bold full flavours.

The other Pichardos get better with a year on them, before they can sometimes be a bit harsh, though you already taste the flavours underneath. After a year or two they become very round and the sweetness is prevalent.

Yeah the Fiat Lux is no maduro but I was expecting more, given many rave reviews online.

I had another Pichardo Maduro and with 3 months rest this one was better, it was deeper and richer in flavour, construction excellent.
