To be fair, NC brands have a lot more tobacco to go at. I'm not sure how many different blends/lines there are from Cuba, but considering they all use tobacco from one region of one country, perhaps the NC's expansive range is justified.

I understand Drew Estate are similar to the Coca Cola Company, having a whole host of brands below them. Stretching across a range of budgets and styles. For me, its that range of flavour and style that draws me to them. Even if that does lead to a bit of a lottery 😂 but I'm willing to try anything at least once...

I can see 43 brands in the DE line on one site, if they have 10 vitolas/blends per brand = 430 DE cigars to try. That's 1 NC producer per year There must be >100 producers.

      That must be the plan.

Who was it that had a few bad RP's and wont go near RP now. Thats probably the way to do it!

DE have been very consistent for me, their main Undercrown line has always good construction, smoke output and good flavours, and very good foreign prices.

How can there be too much of a good thing?

I usually see to get recommendations or go for producers I had good experiences in the past.

Pretty much everything from ace prime (pichardo) is top notch. crowned Heads also produce quality throughout.

I do shy away from the very big players though, as the selection can be overwhelming and the quality isn't always there.

Indeed there cannot be too much of a good thing, but alas often NCs are not a good thing. Like you say, certain producers seem to nail it all the time but I'm afraid others are bathing in a sea of mediocrity.

I tend to stick to recommendations from the guys on here that smoke a fair few NC’s.

It does make me laugh whenever I watch a YouTube review from someone in the US and they talk about the great flavours and transitions from some dog rocket and say that’s why they’re better than Cubans.

Can we get a sticky for some top recommendations?
