Just had some Pirate Kake, courtesy of [MENTION=13408081]smokey joe[/MENTION] , in a cob. Was an absolute winner. I confess i dont much like the smell of it from the pack, but it is lovely in the smoking. Thank you!
i then committed a potential crime against pipes.... I had packed half a bowl of Kake and the top half smoked really well. The bottom half just wouldnt stay lit... So i filled the bowl up with Ilsteads Own Mix (fresh taste) and smoked that... Which is a lovely 'go to' easy going blend. It burned really well and then transitioned into the quarter bowl of Pirate Kake at the bottom... Which then burned really well too!
Quite the most delicious walk in the woods in the hissing wind and rain i've had!

Managed to squeeze half a bowl of Penzance in whilst we had a family get together at my sister's house this afternoon. My dad used to smoke pipes and liked the twisty Falcon I was toking on. He was a pure St Bruno bloke and had a Falcon "...but one of those short ones so it wasn't too heavy...still wore that bit of my tooth away" he remarked. ☺️"Go you good things...geddem int'ya"

I kind of hanker after a Dracula, but I think I'd feel self conscious smoking it. My last Petersen PAD pipe was a Irish Army, plain, but stout and chunky.
I hope it smokes as good as it looks.Comment
