Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment as you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it!

        • Felt like having Latakia so a bowl of Pirate Kake is doing the job.

          • Some Plum Pudding Special Reserve (from here on in PPSR save typing the bugger out) in a Dunhill Shell Billiard that I did a bit of a resto job on last week.

Germains RDF cut with Stokkebyes B&Bin a cob. The B&B ups the sweetness without detracting from the flavour, it plays down the strength of the nicotine a bit too.

                  • In today's lunchtime bowl I have Rattray's Hal O' the Wynd. The tins been open around 6 months & this portion has been out under a glass drying for 24 hours. It's a lot nicer than the coconut flavoured aromatic I had yesterday.

                      • Sure thing CJ [emoji6] Cobs are, for me, the best day to day pipes. I prefer them to meer, briar & walnut, still to try other options. Also 6mm card filters are better than the 9mm charcoal ones in my opinion.

I'm trying another mash up today, Stokkebye Luxury Navy Flake & B&B about 5050. I read somewhere a weed grinder is good for preparing so I got a cheap one to use on flakes occasionally.

                        • McClellands Yenidje Supreme in a cob. I opened this tin about 6 months ago and really enjoyed several bowls. I still really enjoy it's delicate flavour. This is the version without Latakia.

Yes, I'm a big lover of the Cob too, SJ. There is just something about being able to smoke from such a basic tool, plus you can have a play with them

I am yet to try a grinder myself, but I don't suppose it will be too long before one is added to the arsenal, even if it's just to see what it's like. I imagine you would have to be gentle with it.
