    That's a serious pipe tool!

I have been beavering away pipe smoking (mostly GH №6 aromatic, but a fair bit of Ennerdale flake, which I've been experimenting with drying out more than I used to) - generally not photographing the process though.

    • Having a bowl of burley flake #4 in my F&T reject before bed.
Also finished a couple of refurbs for a workmate

Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment as you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it!

You wanna see the tamper! Yes, I've been bowling quite a bit without the pics like yourself Mooseman. I've never tried the Ennerdale to my knowledge. What's your take on it?

It's floral, and if in flake or plug, needs drying out for quite a while. However if medium and slightly scented in a fairly non-specific way is your thing, it's a good tobacco. I am informed it has an inoffensive to good room note.

👍 I saw a Peregrib falcob the other day!

              The pipe looks great!

              • Yesterday evening was pipe cleaning day, so I had some plum and rum (which is starting to smell fabulous in its jar) in a cob whilst poking and scraping and polishing.

I accompanied with with some Black William stout from one of my local breweries, the dark chewy stout goes well with a slightly jam like tobacco.

                • My first Sam Gawith Grousemoor Plug, in a cob to sample. It's...Floral and Lakelandish up the wazoo. My opinion is yet to be fully formed, but I don't hate it.

Ooh, that's probably where I draw a line tbh. I just don't get the floral thing, albeit based on two attempts a few years ago🤢

                      • After having a messenger chat with a piper overseas (who kindly gifted me this pipe in a trade) I dug out the Clay Cutty and had perhaps my best bowl ever of RDF. I think I said that recently about this tobacco but it was exceptional in the clay earlier. I got a spiciness that I've never picked up before and it was a very lively smoke compared to previous. That's a lovely picture. I've wanted a clay pipe for a bit - a wildly speculative question, but, what are they like?

I also have a hankering for a clay pipe. Especially after seeing Tom Hardy's bad guy in The Revenant smoking one. He's also smoking one in the TV show Taboo.

Smoking Erinmore Mixture in a cob. I won't be getting more when it's run out though.
