I had a bowl of Mac Baren tonight. I can tell the difference to the 965 now.

Nice pipe peejay but find them too big to the size of pipes I'm used to bet they can hold a fair bit of tobacco.

What made you go for the rustic finish oskihen, when I started out pipe smoking many moons ago
they use to say that rustic finish is where the briar has minor flaws wether true or not I can't say
I like the rustic look myself on smooth finished pipes any minor marks on the wood you can see them clearly.

I've got several pipes Tony, but none rustic , it sort of suits my personality more if you know what I mean , a bit rough round the edges [emoji6]

As someone being drawn to the world of pipes I'm interested to know why you'd recommend a P/LIP Peterson?

The system pipes keep moisture back into the bowl to stop pipe gurgle and the p lip directs smoke to the top off the mouth which can help with preventing tongue bite
