Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment as you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it!

    • Very nice Paul looks good. I'm smoking some McClelland Old World Classic Cake 5115 with a cup of tea.

      • No pictures today as pipe (shiny new corn cob!) was firmly clamped between teeth, smoking a surprising amount of Ennerdale Flake. Delish...

        • New cob for me too today, some ennerdale plug for starters

          • Some new RDF in the Anse Cob. Something wasn't quite right with the baccy. It didn't look, smell or taste like it usually does. I'll ring them up tomorrow and have a chat.

Ahh thanks for that I would've been trying to work that out for a while [emoji2]

Sorry mate. I'd struggle to name most of your baccies if you adopted the same cryptic approach

                      • So here's something. I bought a small amount of Rich Dark Flake as a bit of a top up in an order this week. Whilst looking kind of like it, it neither smelled or smoked/tasted like it when I put some to the bowl the other day. It wasn't unpleasant, and certainly something i don't mind keeping. I wondered whether this particular batch was just simply 'out' a bit. For the unfamiliar, there is usually a deep rich aroma, with a heady liquoresque (a new word there, not liquorice[emoji6]) nose to it. These few flakes were more 'malty' reminiscent of a cereal perhaps. Anyhow, cutting to it, this morning I daubed a full flake with some Laphroaig 10[emoji5] and that what's in the Whistle. I don't know whether it has really impacted upon, or changed it's profile, but I certainly enjoyed it[emoji4] Have a good weekend [emoji1417]

                        • Having some Robert McConnel latakia flake in an no name bulldog that I restored myself, not bad for a 4 quid pipe

                          • Evening all. H&H Vintage Syrian in the Devilled Anse. Started it on the way out of the hospital grounds, put it down and finishing off a little while back. There's quite a big bowl on this pipe so you have to have time....

WOW! You have some of the coolest pipes, CJ121.

Makes me want to spark up a bowl...but the only pipe I can find around the hacienda was used for something don TJ calls "little smoke."

Thanks Ricky. Let's not forget though, I merely own it and full respect goes out to the artisan carvers and makers of the world

                                Little smoke? Sounds funny!?!?
