I find nightcap benefits from a bit of ageing in a jar for a while a good month or so at least shake it about a bit every now and then , and smoke it after a good meal Simon

Thanks Jim. Only have a small sampler, so only got a good bowl and a bit left. I've read the ingredients list and flavour profile, so I think it's my underdeveloped pipe palette!

Just had some Navy Rolls, dried it out for 12 hours beforehand which helped.

5 tins of rolls? That's a bulk purchase! I was on eBay and noticed a USA seller had unopened tins from way back. Do you think the tobacco would benefit from long term aging?

Without a doubt aged tobacco is what your after tins must be sealed

Just tried some Cabbies mixture. Smells great out of the tin, but far too moist to burn properly. Will be in the jar a little longer.

Leave it in the tin Simon it'll dry out quicker , and transfer to jar when it's
right

I packed the pipe last night but never got round to smoking it, lithe weather was disgusting. So I get to enjoy a nice lunch time pipe. Early afternoon is definately my favourite time to smoke, pipe or cigars!

Are you more of a bent or straight person
they say if you like to hold a pipe while smoking straight is better
but a bent hangs better if your using your hands to work with.
