Stokkebye's navy flake in a new cob. Rolled up and stuffed in

A lot of moisture condensing on the stem despite drying it

Nonetheless it was an excellent smokeLast edited by smokey joe; 06-05-2016, 05:29 PM.

Wouldn't use a torch lighter on a pipe mate, I always use a soft flame, less damage to the pipeOriginally posted by smokey joe View PostI use a match in this one, as its posh. The pipe is 39 years old. I use a torch lighter frequently in other pipes though.Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment as you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it!

Have you seen the 'frank method'? He uses a torch to good effect without damaging the pipeOriginally posted by Paulie2876 View PostWouldn't use a torch lighter on a pipe mate, I always use a soft flame, less damage to the pipe

Good video SJ, but I think I'll stick to a soft flame. Maybe try this method in the future thoughOriginally posted by smokey joe View PostHave you seen the 'frank method'? He uses a torch to good effect without damaging the pipe
