I would recommend you smoke the SH first because of its soft and mild taste. The aromatic might be best saved til last just incase the strong flavours taint your pipe and the ghosting comes through the more delicate tobaccos.
I find the Lizzy gets strong and bitter as you get towards the bottom of the bowl - perhaps it's the Perique content. Packing half bowls does reduce this and makes for a more pleasant smoke.
Well just had a Half bowl of Sherlock homes
Very nice and mild May be to mild of my tastes
With some sweet aromas even the mrs liked the
smell of it
And I didn't even need to relight it
Which is very unusual for me
Yes, SH does burn well, perhaps a bit too well because it doesn't last long. I think the cut is very soft and fine, adding to the burnability of it. I agree with you, it is very mild, too mild. I can highly recommend Dunhill flake or Sam Gawith Full Virginia Flake if you like a full, naturally sweet taste, with a cool burn. In terms of time, I have had a flake last nearly 2 hours. Winner!
I may have to get some SH just to experiment with the burn characteristics, I'm a constant relighter really used to get my goat. I just kind of deal with it now but it would be interesting to smoke a notoriously well burning leaf.

I would recommend you go for some SH samples just in case, like the majority who smoke this, you find it a little too mild/bland. This is in no way a slur on those who enjoy it, because every palate is different.
You can get 5g samples from smoke king, on line.
