I have tried snuffing from my pipe tool spade bit and don't like it because it shoots up into the nose in a clump. I much prefer the pinch method and slowly rub out into the stream of air as I breath in. I think as a clump you get less coverage and so less nicotine infusion. As a dispersed dust there is more uniform coverage of the nasal passage.

It's also one of the reasons I like my snuff slightly drier. When it's too moist it clumps between the fingers when rubbing it out.

I made some snuff recently from some dried out SG 1792. It's ok but not as good as buying it already ground up.

Yes, it is remarkably strong and virtually impossible to take. After you have tried it straight, which of course you must, I would recommend you mix it with something else as a carrier.
