Jon does make great pipes, I wasn't here for his previous profile and it's something I have only recently become aware of so I won't comment On that.
Though my understanding was that as Duncan says he never hid the fact he had previously been a member and came back to tell us about Puffies (God rest his soul) funeral.

My opinion (for what little it counts) Jon has never hidden that he has had his issues in the past but he is using his pipe making as an outlet to bring him and others happiness. How ever we look at it, his expertise Will be missed.

Smoking cigars is easy... Apparently, smoking pipes isn't.
Was struggling to get the bugger lit, sucked a bit hard - it lit and I swallowed a lungful. I couldn't see for the tears. I couldn't breathe. It was bloody awful.

Jon came back with the jabba profile after puff scotty had passed away as he went to the funeral and was in contact with his wife. He thought that as puff was active here some members would want to know. Deano was OK with this apparently.

Recent reason is two accounts. As highlighted in the rules, one can't do that.
Deano caught him but did leave the couresty of leaving a contact email so he can discuss the terms and hopefully return. You're right in that he was a great guy. Would love him back onto the forum...
