Having the same problem joe so much joice and shapes,
be carefull what you go for I was told the other day from a few tobacconist's I got in touch with
spend a bit more on a good Peterson than a cheaper one
also came across this from another site which is intresting this came from a Peterson nut collector.

I can sympathise with your experiences Rob,from my own similar experiences with shiny Kinsales,I found them problematic and would never have another .To my mind they are a poorer doppelg?nger of the Sherlock Holmes series. However I do have several XL23 Rustics which are less problematic,ie no overheating or bubbling. It is just a pity that many newbies to the Peterson experience are directed to purchase the Kinsales because of cost and end up with bad impressions of Petersons as a whole

Nice shaped pipe joe swings and roundabouts with pipes
sandblast are nice because you won't see minor scratches on the briar on any fills
smooth is what I prfer myself like to see the beauty of the briar but then you might see some fills if it has any.
Was going to go for the kingsale apparently they are pipes that haven't made the grade
so back to the drawing board.

Tobacco looks a bit dry that you have in the plastic bags.
Nah, tipped it out & it's pukka.
            had me worried though [emoji263]

That's an interesting one. I've a few with stingers (As they used to be called back in the day)

It may screw out if it bothers you SJ.

It pops out no bother. I'll give it a whirl with & with out to see if I can spot the difference.

My lady bought me a pipe for my birthday, what a gal! It's an unsmoked Peterson from 1987

So then I got carried away and bought myself an estate pipe, Dunhill from 1977.

Thanks Tony. Yes it is. I read a review that said these smoke hot and the Lestat is better. I couldn't resist this one though [emoji4]
