First Pipes

This thread has got me curious again. I am digging out my old pipes from 10 years ago - some beautiful Big Ben pipes - so snug in the hand. Think I might try an aged Peterson Mixture

Exciting isn't it?
I've been smoking a pipes a whole 2 days now.
My better half bought me a pipe (and some cigars!)for Valentine's day.
She got me a straight Falcon pipe number 13 I think. It's superb and im hooked I must say!
I got a sampler pack of Samuel gawith tobacco...All have been wonderful so far but so much to learn!!!

this time of the year I prefer smoking my pipes, concerning pipe tobacco I would start on the loose tobacco a few once here and there to see if you like aromatics or non aromatics before you venture out in buying tins and pouches.

Good stuff, I actually think I prefer pipes over all. Though they are certainly more demanding of the smoker initially.

So don't worry if you can't hit the ground running, like you did with cigars. Pipes are a little more of an art to use.

Seemingly as many cigar smokers do I am venturing into the world of pipes and today took the jump and bought my first pipes today, ordered from GQ website on the advice from some pipe groups.

Looking forward to receiving them next week and now to enter the world of pipe tobacco which looks incredible confusing but something to get into like cigars!
