Morning pipe people, after some consideration I decided to take up a pipe again, i haven't smoked one since the early 70's and in the interim years hadn't smoked at all. Having retired I took up cigars in 2019 which I enjoyed immensely but I'm finding it difficult to justify spending increasingly more and more, every time I browse the catalogue the price seems to have shot up.
and so to today, I bought a rattrays Celtic 14 and have just enjoyed a bowl of pensioners mix by gowith hogarth, this immediately bought back memories of years past, I'm not giving up cigars completely but I'll limit them to the summer months.
Happy new year one and all and yes pad has afflicted me.

It's been 3 weeks now since I started and I've identified a problem, I appear to be sleep ordering I started off with a pipe and a bag of pensioners I now have several pipes, a pipe rack and several months worth of tobacco. As far as the actual smoking goes pensioners was okay but the next one American black cherry was a delight I think aromatics are the way to go.
does anyone know of a retailer who does Sutcliffe by any chance.

im all for the aro's. its a nice change of pace from a cigar but i have to visit nightcap every now and again.

Sutliff tobaccos are brilliant. The vanilla custard is superb as are the others i have tried so far. You will have to shop over the pond. Tobacco is cheap but buy in bulk and it makes the postatage/ customs charges worth it. It still works out relatively cheap/er than uk prices. I have ordered 16oz or so at a time.
