So my next sample smoke, Bayou night.
Ribbon cut, tin note is very sour and spicy with just a hint of sweetness to the smell. It pack well and lights very well two relights only.........
Onto the smoke and its Earthy, grassy sour and then pepper like pure black pepper, retro just reveals more and more sour and pepper and I mean this thing is just pure pepper on the retro.
Not a single hint of sweetness translating into flavour of the smoke, the smoke is chunky and really all I can say is its a pepper sour bomb. On reading up its a Scottish Blend as opposed to english with a heavy amount of perique but mixed with its other components lacks that plummy sweetness perique can give.
Its a stout smoke to be sure if you like that sort of flavour profile however in comparison to Bayou Morning and Sunday Picnic, this didn't do it for me.
Its a solid tobacco just not to my tastes on that basis overall score if you like it its a 3.5/5 to me its a 2.5 not for me.
Just EMP to go in my samplers but I think at least one of the reviewed blends will get an upgraded score once I am done.
But if Pepper Sour earthy bombs are your thing then you'll probably love this.
