So this was the other sampler, Marlin Flake its a well known one but not one ive tried so here we go, on the tin/bag note its a very interesting smell, its very fruity an bready but then also hints of chocolate and not just chocolate but almost an after eight like quality not what I was expecting to smell and certainly interested to see if this transaltes. The flake breaks up nicely and pack fine into the Pipe, (todays Pipe is my trusty Briar Churchwarden) and its all good.
She takes to the flame nicely needing only a few relights to get going, and there we have Virginia breadiness, and then plummy stone fruit very nice and its the predominent flavour for the first half of the bowl, and then bout half way through on the retro oooo the plum gives way to a slight chocoate and then a spice that can be best compared to a peppermint type sort of spice to it. Most surprisignly is this combo is very nice, its cool smooth and fruity plummy with just a hit of the mint chocolate.
I can see why this is a long term favourite, now as Vapers go is it my favourite, no nothing is as good as Sunday Picinic which I consider to be an almost perfect Plummy Vaper, this is in the top5 just for its unique chocolate hit that I wasnt expecting and how well it works in balance. This is a blend thats worth a go if you havent.
