    Brilliant birthday present!



    The wonderful wife picked me up this gem for my Birthday today, I've been wanting to try it for a couple of years.
    It's a blend of malt and grain whisky finished in plum liquor casks.

    Lovely stuff, light and smooth, almost brandy nose then builds to a dry spicy finish. Thoroughly recommended.

          Cheers all. For my money Japanese whisky is outdoing Scottish at the moment, there are some sublime expressions available for reasonable prices.
