Closest I get to home brew is renting 1/4 of a vine at a vineyard in Essex... Just got the latest batch and will be sampling tonight :-)

Do plan to try my hand at making some beer, although not whilst living at the parents house.

Heh yeah it is good fun, always have to do plenty of testing

If you want a go yourself, its a good idea to try a good local homebrew shop as the owners are usually a goldmine of info and are usually only to happy to help you get started.

What do you generally like to drink?

I'm an ale man myself and there are a lot of great kits these days. I've heard there are some good larger kits too, but not tried them myself, always used to come out a bit watery when i tried them but that was probably 15 years ago.

There are good wine and cider kits too, but again I've not done a lot of them recently.

You can also do some great fruit wine if you have access to any trees at the right time of year, or you can mess about with juice from the supermarket.

    Does anyone Homebrew?

Just wondered if anyone here brewed their own booz? I've done so on and off for years and dabbled in wine, cider, larger, but mainly ale.

I'm currently finishing off a batch of 'Headcracker' which is aptly named at its about 7%. Quite a sweet and hoppy.

Next batch I've got maturing is 'Norfolk Nog' which is a more traditional dark ale.

    Anyone else?
