Bruichladdich is amazing, if you have the extra dollar (or quid), get the 15YO second (or third) edition.
Cragganmore 12YO is my go to single malt, just feels nice and smooth when it goes down.
Dalmore is a great one if you're not pairing it with a cigar. It's got a zesty taste there and not too peaty. It's sort of got its own taste..... Try the 12 year old to start, I would recommend the 15 YO but you can only truely enjoy that after you try the (inferior) 12 YO.

        How much are those then?
And what are they even called? I've only seen the highclass cork thing, but almost never the others.....

Lots of randomness to be honest..

Things like laphroig, talisker, glenfiddich, glenmorangie, glenlivet..

Please note I know very little about whiskey!

            Like something not too peaty
            Smooth
            Depth
            Sweet notes
            Not harsh

            Very poor description I know...

I do like a peated whisky but some lighter ones I like are:

              Edradour Straight from the cask.
Dalmore Gran Reserva (used to be the old cigar malt, now discontinued but glorious, replaced with a new cigar malt that is not a patch on the old or the GR)
              Balvenie Doublewood
Exploring the world - one smoke at a time.

Looks like the laddie 10 you mentioned is right for you after all.
If you don't like it harsh and sweet, add some mineral water to bring out the aromas and depth
