Really? Geez I'm outta touch...... Which one went out? Either glengyn, springbank, or longbow? Those were my known stills I've tried . Methinks the popular ones too.

There is Springbank Distillery producing three different expressions( Hazelburn, Longrow and Springbank ). Glen Scotia Distillery and the revitalised Glengyle Distillery which will bottle their Whisky under the name of Kilkerran when it's ready.

The others you mention I know nothing of.

Ah fucking hell, i just butchered all the names.. Haha
Yes yes, i meant glengyle and longrow. Not glengyn and longbow.... Hahahaha
But tis a shame that the lowlands and cambelltowns are reduced to such a small force now. But alright. When would the "kilkarran" 12 (or 10, one or the other) be coming out then?? I'd hope it'd be relatively cheap as it's still new on the market, just like my auchtoshen 12

Apparently there is three bottlings that have been available at the distillery and that's it....

I knew you had mucked up the names. I didn't want to be a complete prat and say ;-)

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1369007601.049714.jpgTook your advice and got a Hazelburn . Hoping she'll taste better than the last Hazel i tasted . Theyre discontinuing it so it's 70 dollars instead of 85. I'll try it and see how it is.
I also got a nice desktop humidor too. $10 off my mate who's moving

Auchentoshan is probably the go too Lowland, however my personal preference is for a Bladnoch... Chieftains 18yo to be precise.

Aye. Finished the bottle of Auchentoshan 12. Was around $60 at the provincial liquor store.
Won't be getting it again, I'm afraid. But I will sure want to tryy the 21 YO one day. Not available in this province of 13million people but I saw it on the west coast for 3x more than the 12 YO.

I'm with the Glenkinchie crowd, I like the light floral flavours.

Have a look at Balvenie for a non peaty Scotch. A Speyside malt that's very smooth, the 21yr old may be too expensive but I've found the Caribbean Cask to be a bargin.

meh, i've taken a few drams here and there.... much rather my go-to Cragganmore for the smoothness and lack of peat. just my tongue's opinion though!!
