I've always had a thing for a good lager. I enjoy trying lagers from other countries (although they aren't always easy to come by), as I can't stand the majority of stuff readily available - carling, fosters, carlsberg etc. Had a fairly nice Japanese lager Kirin Ichiban last night. Anything in particular that you gents enjoy larger wise that you would recommend?

Kirin is nice - always been rather partial to a Peroni with a cigar.

I'm not too keen on the standard lager but on a hot day I'll go for a Staropramen or Budvar Budweiser (the real bud not the gnats piss).

      Also Tiger is pretty tasty.

Ive always liked Stella. It's my go-to import. Next to Hoegaarden and czechvar
Also, try our Canadian lagers. Not biased at all here (ignore my signature ). If you have the chance, try yourself a pint of Steamwhistle, Alexander Keiths, or Moosehead

Love a draft Peroni. Don't see it too often though. Whereabouts in North Wales are you bud? Up there pretty often seeing friends.

Had a few Mooseheads for the first time the other day in a TGI fridays and absolutely loved them! Haven't found it in supermarkets since though

Ah the boys are from Dyserth so not far away at all then. Edinburgh is a brilliant city, hope you enjoy your time there.

Real Ale for me. locally brewed beers at ?2.30 for a 4% going up to ?2.80 for a 6%.

Having said that HalfMoon lagers were ace in Bruges.

A friend of mine started his own brewery a few years ago. They produce four pretty tasty ales. All brewed within half a mile of my house! I know that they are being sold around Cheshire but not sure if they have reached any further afield? This is the link to the website http://www.tattonbrewery.co.uk/

Not a big drinker of ale yet but I am working my way onto them!

Ace will look out for them. There are some ace Greater Manchester Ales. I think salamander is one.
