Was in the mood for something refreshing this evening, so picked up some Thatchers Green Goblin.
Very drinkable cider and didn't seem to mess with the cigar much, it was very palate cleansing.

I also took a punt on some cheap as chips Briska Osterlen Swedish cider, bit sweet for me but extremely refreshing/drinkable. The Mrs destroyed the stocks of it instantly so it's a hit with her!

Definitely agree with cider going - Magners etc is absolutely fine with a cigar. Drinks I avoid are white wine and g&t...

Ciders, particularly dry ones, are becoming my go to drink to accompany a stick. Eric Bordelet and Crispin's stuff comes to mind.

I have never tried American cider I may have to get some, French cider has never done it for me even with my French heritage I can't seem to get on with It. I may have to give it another try though.

If it was purely for summer drinking and not with a cigar I has to be strong flat cloudy English cider for me! However with a stick it would have to be fizzy and crisp.

If you?re looking for the three best ciders, these three take the Apple: Samuel Smith?s Organic, Crispin the Saint, and Woodchuck Winter Oak Aged Draft Cider. These three are nectars of the gods, especially with their dry crispness next to a sweet dark cigar.

I can personally vouch for Sam Smith's... they don't make a single bad product IMO.
