Andrea Faccio Ajan Barbera d'Asti 2011

A lovely northern Italian red. Intense aroma - anise, sour cherries, and even a hint of lavender. Flavour profile was largely red fruits - sour cherry, redcurrants, and candied strawberry. Nicely acidic, with medium tannins. Mid-length finish. Cracking wine from the second grape of Piedmont.

A mixture of cabernet & tempranillo.
        Fcuking divine!
        Worth every penny...

Now i know before anyone says about it being a new world wine but it is one of the nicest reds i have had even better after 6-8 hrs decanted. Rich full bodied vanilla tones yummy. I get mine in costo but have seen it online in tesco

Enjoying this one. Subtle with depth to the flavour and went perfect with a baked Camembert & baguette, shared.

I drink wine most nights with my evening meal. I drink both red and white but not that keen on pink. Nearly always french, Italian takes 2nd place.
