  • Some good looking whisky there my bearded friend !

    • Just an oddball personal thing.... The ever so slightly low fill on that right hand bottle of The Macallan 18 would annoy the shit out of me. The least these distilleries can do, especially when paying Macallan 18 prices is to put equal amounts of the bloody liquid into each bottle.

      • Nice pickups!

Lagavulin 16 is one of my go to drams, along with the distillers edition.

Regarding Bruichladdich, the best one I have tried from them is Infinity, sadly produced no more

        • What would that be SmokeyDave?

@ValeTudoGuy not a big deal to me when you drink it, but I can see some peoples OCD get the better of them.

              • If I were to get one nice bottle of whisky with a rich style what would you suggest. Budget would be ?50-?60 max for this one.

                • Well not sure the Prices over there, But I would start Lagavulin 16yr maybe Highland park 12yr(if you want to tone down the smokey a bit) to try that I assume would be around the 50-60 mark, but for rich and smokey my favourite would be Taliskers 18yr

Thanks Reason, I can get the talisker in the supermarket so that's easy. Lagavulin can be my next. I've found that I like the smokey rich and fruity ones. I forgot the name but I had something that was aged in two different woods which is lovely, it has a sweetness which I'm guessing it from a sherry barrel. The name is something like "The Be****"? I'm pretty sure I posted about it in here but can't find it now.

Balvenie Doublewood? That is one available from the supermarket and is a fair price.
