  • Pocas LBV 2008

Just drinking the last of this and I have to say that I'm sorry to have finished it.

A really smooth port, highly recommended.

I love a nice Port, never tried a Pocas though. Where can it be found?

Id never tried Pocas before either, but we went for a meal at the Hearth of the Ram in Ramsbottom & they stock it there.

Its great with cheese or dark chocolate.

Ooh, very interesting. I shall have to source a bottle or two of that. We get through port at an astonishing rate whenever I'm staying with my parents. Another great port which is slightly off the radar (compared to Taylor's and the like) is Churchill's. Jolly nice. Even their cheap ruby which is re-labelled for Jennings brewery is a decent drop.

I like Fonseca port, they do some nice Ruby's and tawny too. For good value tawny I sometimes go for the Graham's 20year old which never disappoints. My current open bottle is this

Fines a is excellent. I haven't tried the Churchills so I'll have to look that one up.
