• Vodka.

I'm not a vodka drinker so have no idea of what is decent.
Could someone please recommend some really nice quality bottles that I
can consider as a christmas gift?

Cheers.

Chase Vodka has won a few big awards in the last couple of years. They do a few different flavours, and hammer the "British" thing.

I've bought a couple as gifts again this year.

It's made a couple of miles away from me by the same chap who started (then sold) Tyrell's crisps, know his sons fairly well.

I'm not either, I have drank belvedere and Grey Goose though, they taste a hell of a lot better than Smirnoff and the like. I'd go for one of those bottles, easy to drink the polish way and alright for mixing too. I don't know many straight vodka drinkers.

Chase is excellent. Grey Goose is nice but expensive.

Some Polish shops sell a brand called Sobiesky and i think its really good.

Is that the one with the buffalo on it and strands of straw/grass inside?

Zubrowka bison grass vodka, herb flavoured vodka 'described as having woodruff, vanilla, coconut, and almond notes'.

Woodruff? White flakes found under trees?

Zubrowka is indeed what CJ is thinking about. Its nice but very different to standard vodka

Cheers everyone. I was considering Grey Goose. I will have a look at the others.

Chase is certainly its equal in quality. IMO

And often had much cheaper too

Others to look out for are Stolichnaya (good and cheap) and Belvedere (premium)

Zubrowka (Bison Grass) with fresh apple juice - very smooth and very moreish. They do non flavoured vodka too, again it's pretty good. Grey Goose is good and readily available.

Zubrowka is the most common bison grass choice and very good. Have you tried this one, oskihen? De Chene from Poland. There's a strip of oak in each bottle. A lovely drink, very mellow flavour, beautiful colour.
