• Japanese Whisky

Hey guys,

I'm looking to buy a present for a family member... I wanted to get him something different, I've tried the Yamazaki 12 and 18 or 21 year old and both were great.

Does anyone know if the others are just as good?

I can't help you with your selection Sham, but I am interested in the recommendations because this is something I am looking to try out.

Yea hopefully some had tried some of these...I would recommend the Yamazaki 12...had it at a mates house last year...we really enjoyed it..
Streetfighter if you like single malts the Yamazaki is worth a try.

My son bought me a bottle of the Hakushi for Christmas. Very drinkable although personally I prefer a Glenmorangie or Glenlivert.

Plus one on Nikka from the barrel. An excellent whisky in the Highland/Speyside style.

The Hibiki 12 year old is also excellent and comes in a stunning 24 sided decanter type bottle. I bought a bottle as a gift for my Dad and he really enjoyed it.

Ended up getting the Hibiki Harmony..

Just because it was easier to get hold of.

Chiming in late here but next time you're in the market try Nikka From The Barrel. Very very nice. Bottled around 56% IIRC but opens up a treat when water added
