Johnnie walker Green 15 is back

This xmas, my wife was lovely enough to get me a bottle, after my last bottle ran out, but only found out last year that they discontinued a couple of years back. as there was limited supple the bottles were going ?100+.

I have jusy seen some stockiest have them in stock and are now selling them in some UK stores and ?40-50

Just bought a couple of bottles... Thought I'd share the news in case some of you guys were a fan.

Thanks for the heads up. It never realy went away fully, but was only being sent to certain duty free outlets.

Be good to see it back on british shelves. I hope its the same and not a rework like the gold was as I have been hording my last bottle for a few years now.

I never knew that...I know last year they had a special addition in the us, which i was trying to get my hand on, but everyone i know failed to deliver to get it for me.

Yea hope so, but from the looks of it, it is the same.. With the gold they changed the name to gold reserve....I'll let you know tomorrow when i get my delivery.

I still didn't understand why they stopped it, it was so popular.. Just didn't make sense..Anyway i have 3 bottles now happy days!!!

I had a bottle of the gold label reserve last year. Nice enough dram but didn't justify the price tag. I think the black label is better in comparison to the gold.

I do agree...the gold reserve isn't that great, I actually like the spice road compared to the gold which again is much cheaper.

So I got my bottles today...clearly different...but when examining the packaging...looks like it's from the German market

It looks like the new version uses the same bottle as the gold label. Are you going to crack one open to do a comparison taste test?

I tried all kinds of variations of Johnny Walker before, even went to a distillery tour where part of the blend is made. Didn't like that either. Just not my flavour profile.

As far as blends go I like JW. The Green is the best for me. Red is a bit crap, only good for mixing.
