Picked these up yesterday, never tried an Irish malt before, anyone here have an opinion on them?

Had the worst hangover ever after sharing a bottle of Bushmills with a mate a few years back. Just the thought of it now makes me want to. . .

Prefer the Irish myself, Kilbeggan is a fine Malt.

Partial to Bushmill 10 here, and yes the Tullamore Dew is a real winner of a blend. I like the smoothness of the Irish whiskeys and TD has a real toffee thing going on (to my tastes anyway)

I went on the Jameson distillery tour when i visited Dublin a few years back and volunteered for the taste test at the end of the tour. Big mistake, I had a massive hangover and ended up with around 7 different whiskies to work my way through. I ended up giving most of them away, but the one I enjoyed the most was Powers. Extremely smooth. Only found it in one pub since, sadly they don't have it anymore. Simon Bolivar Jameson is really quite popular here too

A little secret lads best irish whiskey apart from Middleton 21 years and all that as Jameston owns them all red breast etc this whiskey is fine dram not expensive either pour a glass let it settle add a tea spoon of bottle water leave for 5 mins gentle swirl then enjoy being irish and all this may come as a surprise but my favourite is glengoyne scotch 10 year old and 15 / 18 when the lottery comes in
