  • New on my drink shelf

No cabinet at the moment merely a shelf.

I found this on discount in Tesco:

    Smooth with a caramel nose.

And this on moderate discount in Waitrose:

I bought it on spec having heard good things and seen it in a fair few photos on here, and oh boy, I am not disappointed. A fairly fruity aroma but a deep dark taste that means the bottle will not last long.

I have not tried the Bourbon yet but the Diplomatico is beautiful.

Both are a really nice drop - I'm sure neither will last too long!

Joey - Somewhere around thirty pounds as I recall, maybe a shade more.

As the Bulleit is running low, I perused the shelf at Waitrose and found this reduced by eight pounds:

I fancy trying that one, it's on my Christmas list! Hopefully lots of good booze bargains to be had on Amazon and with the supermarkets over the next few weeks.

That is another that I keep clocking but have not got around to trying yet.

Good buy. I love Woodford reserve. Easily my favourite bourbon, and it's usually reduced in the supermarket and easy to find

                      Happy drinking!

I can taste why you love it, it's super smooth, and is (when discounted) clearly a good way of "going up a shelf". Not that I don't like Buffalo Trace, which is usually pretty cheap but pretty decent.
