Re: not quite booze but....
I love a nice cup of cammomile tea with a cigar. I think it pairs better than regular tea. Having milk in tea doesn't agree with my palette

I used to hate the smell of Eral Grey but two years in London converted me into a lover of EG!!

aye i think tea is the best non-alcoholic pairing for any cigar. coffee when it lingers in the mouth makes cigars taste a bit stale to me. a nice tea with lemon is a great palate cleanser too.
the algerian coffee shop in soho has a fantastic collection im going through.
darjeeling 1st flush, oolong jade, and a couple of orange pekoes. lapsang souchong cna be nice with a strong cigar. yumsky! there are some white teas id love to try but they run at ?15 per 100 gms!

I know this is shameful and most likely spoils the taste of a good cigar, but I like it ..... lemon tea!

Next stage for the advanced tea drinker (and probably not when you are smoking) is a round of hot buttered toast and Pattum Pepperium (Gentlemans Relish)
Nothing beats it!

I'm drinking some eg right now with a little milk and a teaspoon of orange blossom honey in it too and am digging it a little more. Also having a rascc at the moment too, but I believe that's another thread! But goes to show you how different our tastes are. I had never heard of milk in tea till the other day. Tbh I thought it was a dreadful idea!

Wow - I have never thought of tea although a good strong coffee has always gone down well with a cigar.
I love EG & lapsang too so I shall give them a go. I'm worried about getting used to it without milk though...

Hi Gordon, definitely black tea, no milk or sugar (for me) Might take a little getting used to but once you are used to it you will never look back.Originally posted by Gordonbcb View PostNever thought of pairing tea with a cigar. I think I'll give it a go.
Would you guys suggest taking the tea black is best ??
