i go climbing mountains in austria and at the top of many of them you'll find a little guesthouse that does home-made food, and copious amounts of beer and obstler. that first pint of weissen at the top of a 1700m mountain in the blazing sun... its to die for. of course the beer tastes better there than here after a walk round the park or down to the shops

a lot of drinks dont really work well in other countries, fell in love with limoncillo in madrid, bought a bottle back and it tasted like cats pee over here in rainy britain.





Not impressed... Had to make do with a Paddy'Stout... No doubt it's been brought in for the arrival of Ireland to the area for the Festival at Cheltenham...
it is odd, first tried it in "Lowlanders" Dury Lane a few years back

. The Dark Mild is a great mild, but I've never seen it outside of a Jennings pub...
