  • Wednesday 14th March

After finishing a busy night shift last night, I'm sat in the back porch with the mutt....cup of black coffee, glass of ice water and a Juan Lopez 2.

I'm still in the first third and this is one of the best cigars I've smoked in a long time. Incredible sweetness from first lighting, its like sugar. Lovely.

    I need some practice, a JLN2.
I had a PSDN4 today and it had the proper partagas taste and loads of smoke, better than the PSPN2.
Next will be the Boli rc as they have finally lost the ammonia aroma.

PSDN4 is a great smoke, probably my all-time favourite cigar.

Just had my first Party SDN5, I kept an open mind after reading a lot of negative reviews.

She started very mellow with just a hint of wood, stayed that way until the mid point then up to the final third it felt like it wanted to break into those unmistakable Partagas flavours. Sadly this didn't happen, she hinted at greatness but failed to deliver. The last third was a full on hit of spice. She burnt well and held ash perfect.

All in all I think with a year of two on them they should develop, but for now I'll stick to SDN4's
Exploring the world - one smoke at a time.

Totally agree with that, I want boli to taste like boli and parta to taste like parta.
Do not want smooth/sweet parta or boli.

                    Perdomo champagne noir robusto

One of the better yet under rated NCs out there always consistent construction and flavour and cheap like 70USD a box.

Smoked and loved every puff of an HdM Regalos - top notch! Sunshine helped a tad too...

I had a great smoke recently ... Perdomo Lot 23. Really good. Today was my Dad's 80th so he got a new Peterson Pipe and we sat in his tiny shed smoking his pipe and well, I spoilt myself with a Behike 56. Beautiful. As you can see, its not a big shed (3' x 6) and its full of junk. But it was a good way to celebrate 4 score years ... doubt if I will make it. Must be all the Black twist he smokes - this stuff makes even the most powerful cigar taste like sweeties!

Haha, nah mate, I've still got plenty left to keep me going. The one I had today absolutely blew me away from start to finish.
