H Upmann Mag 48 LE2009 - utterly perfect. Toasted marshmallow, espresso and pepper. Worth the burnt fingers!

Am herfing on Plymouth Barbican with Simon Griffiths, who smoke La Flor De Cano short robusto, which I'm told was rather excellent.

As per Dan's post, I really enjoyed the LFdC Short Robusto I smoked this evening. I'm still amazed at just how incredibly consistent they are in quality, construction and flavour. Lovely sticks.

I can also confirm that Dan wasn't lying about burning his fingers...

Have to agree with you Simon, they are stunning; for me the best cigar I have had for years. Sad they are all sold out nearly now!

A Boli GM, crazy jalapeno pepper in the second half, was nearly reaching for a glass of milk!

Blimey!!! I got some jalapeno earlier too but that was more conventionally in a kebab! As for a smoke,an Upmann No.2 tonight.Dry boxed for 24 hours (first time I've done that) and it definitely seemed to make a difference.A light smoke with some lovely chocolate and vanilla in there. Also clipped it quite a bit higher than I usually do which, perhaps obviously, made a huge difference too.

Maybe "not great", but damn good for a $5 stick...very consistent for me too, never had a plugged or bad one
