    Ritualisation.

I only smoke for six months of the year so i suppose it`s just something you become accustomed to, like most other things in life.I find that smoking cigars really relaxes me and there are days at work when i would gladly give my right arm to spend a couple of hours with a lusis, the way you did recently.I do like to have a good selection of cigars in stock, and be able to pick one out on a whim when i am at home.

I think you hit the nail on the head Robusto, it`s about the anticipation, the ritual of the cutting ,toasting, lighting and then the aroma and the taste.

Crack addicts go through the same type of ritualisation prior to their fix, and it probably costs them less in monetary terms than what we spend on our cigars.

Amen to that brother. Even after the strong Partagas, the RA cut through no problem. There's something very special about Ramon Allones ...love 'em all. Now, if only I could track down a cheap-ish box of 898s

Speaking of RA, I had a Specially Selected at a barbecue last night. Went down a treat after stuffing myself full of burgers and other meat-shaped stuff. I find they go very well with gin and tonic, the contrast of rich and almost sweet smoke with the tonic bitterness and subtle combinations of flavour in the gin.

An almost Gilly Gouldenesque review there Mr999, next time I have a burger and a gin and tonic in front of me I shall be thinking of you my tentacled little chum!
