Dammit, I just had my first ever plugged cigar, Partagas D No.4.

I was thinking in the last couple of days of posting a thread saying that I hadn't encountered a plugged cigar yet, and that I guess I have been lucky. But I would be disappointed with a plugged cigar as I paid good money for it etc. etc.

Now I have actually had one.....at one point I was going to put it down as it was too annoying, but I persevered. The plug was about an inch from the end......horrible smoke, pain in the ass to draw from. I see why people say "Life is too short for plugged cigars, bin it and move on". Next time I will just bin it, but I didn't have a lot of time so didn't want to reach for a fresh one.....oh well.....my first experience, and lets hope I last a long time again before striking another! But I have been surprised by how frequently people talk about them on here and had thought it was strange I had never experienced one....

To be honest I've never really had one either, I did have an ERDM Demi Tasse (if that's the little one) that was plugged but that was all. What I do is if I see a cigar that is really tightly rolled I will cut it either before I put it in the humi or a day or 2 before I smoke it and it seems to do the trick
A cigar is not measured by its cost - It is measured by how much it burns your fingers

If you get another pluged cigar don't light it up! If your getting some cigar wrapper, save it, dismantle it and re-roll it!
Not many people have this option, so make the most of it!
