I've been told by my fiance that a package has arrived at home with a Bee smoking a cigar on it! Could only be one thing!! I know what I will be having tonight!
Also just popped into my cigar store and picked up another 898 Varnished to give it another try sometime soon. Also got a Bolivar Fino SLB. I took peoples advice on here and asked whether they had any damaged cigars, and ended up with a couple of Monte No.2s at 5.15 pounds each. They have a split cap, but it would have been cut off anyway!!....all in all a happy boy!

EDIT: Dammit I just saw a stuffed up the title and I can't alter it now!!! I'm doing this quickly at work between experiments!
    Have a lovely weekend everyone

A cigar is not measured by its cost - It is measured by how much it burns your fingers

I would if I were you, they seem to have a sweetness when young that fades, not so sure about them after a few years, might need some serious age after that, hopefully in a few more years I'll see!

Well, I've just found out that the pain in my foot isn't anything broken but gout. So I'm off work today and enjoying a nice Brazilian coffee with a Rocky Patel olde world reserve maduro robusto. The coffee is supposed to be good for gout, not sure about the cigar but they go together so well it would be rude not to.

Hope you get better soon mate. I've heard that the Olde World Reserves are supposed to be decent sticks. I've got a couple sitting in the humi, just waiting for the right time to try them. I'm a fan of other Rocky Patels (the 1990s are my favourites but I also like the Edge and the 1992) so I reckon that I will probably enjoy them. It would be good to hear how you find it.
If you want a midget to look like a baby, don't put a cigar in his mouth.

It's a nice smoke, great flavours and a bit of celery in the finish (one of my five a day?) but unfortunately this one just won't stay lit if left alone and is burning rather unevenly, not a problem I had with the edge so could well just be this one.

Thanks for the good wishes, the foot isn't too bad today as I've been able to keep it up on a stool but yesterday I was stuck in meetings all afternoon and couldn't put my shoe back on. Disease of kings and all that, apparently while beers and wine are high in purines (the protein that causes gout) spirits are ok so I can still enjoy my whiskey and rum. Just have to cut back on red meats and shellfish. No more surf'n'turf for me for a while then.

Was going to enjoy the Oliva V Lancero Yeti gifted me a while back. Heavens opened up so I settled for a quicker smoke, an AF Short Story. Lots of cream and coffee! Looks like rain again...

Sorry Staff, this ol' dog will smoke it at some point!
