Davidoff 2000 (with genius tubos system)

I'm on holiday in Mallorca this week and luckily there's a nice newsagent with a walk in humi just down the road from where I'm staying.

First day I was here I had a Partagas something or other. Yesterday I got a Davidoff 2000 for 9 Euro. It came in a white tubos with a clever little panel in the side. When it's in the humi it's open and can obviously take up the rh, then when you take it out you rotate it and it seals it up so you can keep it out and not worry.

Might be really common but I've never seen it before and thought it was very clever.

We're a bit west of Palma in a place called Cala Nova. The cigar shop is in a place called Illetas just a 5 min walk further west. I wouln't say it's chaep but nice to have somewhere with a lot of choice right on your door step. If I had this near by house I'd be a lot poorer than I am now

These special tubes were invented/released by Davidoff in the late 60's or early 70's. The cigar was the Davidoff Tubos, a Laguito No.2.

Davidoff opined that cigars should be allowed to breathe. An opinion which is nowadays challenged by Min Ron Nee and some collectors in HK and the USA, but that's an aother debate?

Good cigar! Smoked a good few of them and they have always had that tubos!
